O collects things and situations from life that can be considered magic (in the book referred to as Real Life Magic), written up by the author as well as a number of contributors. Parallel to the list of magic, a diary of sorts is presented that follows one of such magic in depth: the sunrise. In the course of one year, Erin Hill woke up every morning to take in and document the sunrise through personal writings and photographs (Sunrise Commitment).
