The New Material Award challenges visual artists, designers and architects to use new materials and innovative techniques. In 2018, the resulting exhibition was presented during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven and later at Hotel Droog in Amsterdam. Exhibition design was conceived by Ira Koers and Roelof Mulder. Graphic design for the exhibition aimed to highlight the principles behind the award, concentrating on the making process behind the materials and objects on show. The printed matter and exhibition guide were printed simultaneously, first offset-printing posters that displayed info about the works and then printing the publication content on top of the very same sheets.
